Big Bear Village Association Brochures 2021 & 2013

Commissioned by the Big Bear Lake Village Association to create an eye-catching map of "The Village", the business district of Big Bear, CA. I started with a satellite map and a list of Association members. I was asked to emphasize certain businesses and so the exact layout of the streets had to be modified. Buildings were drawn using Adobe Illustrator and positioned accordingly and labeled. Many of these buildings were modeled from the actual structures.

This was an interesting challenge, to create a map that was efficient while emphasizing what the client considered to be the more importnat businesses in Big Bear. This Map is in use during 2013-2014 in the Big Bear area, in brochures and on street kiosks. The colors are mostly fanciful, but many of the building designs are modeled after the actual structures.
